After having no daycare options on Monday, we have two today. Our #1 choice had a wait list spot open for late May. We’re going to start Hannah at the first place to make sure we have coverage when I go back to work, with the option of moving her to the #1 choice at a later date.

Daycare news
With my return to work in May, daycare has been a pressing issue. After being wait-listed at 3 different day cares – with potential enrollment not opening until as late as mid-July – my doctor tipped us off Friday to a daycare provider that has multiple locations in the Chicago area. As luck would have it, the provider has a location that opened last year, about 10 minutes from Marcus’s office.
After touring the location today and meeting the staff, I’m relieved to say we have Hannah enrolled for my return to work. I actually liked this provider much better than the #2 and #3 day cares on our list, and it’s neck in neck with our #1 choice. We may have a tough decision to make when our wait list slot opens there, but for now, we’re very happy with our selection. They even have a rock-climbing wall for older kids!
Books galore!
Kaitlynn has been spoiling Hannah with the gift of books and stuffed animals to match. Like her momma and her big sisters, Hannah is bound to be a prolific reader.
