Hannah: “I want a new dog when Lexie dies. And we’re going to name her Lexie and she’s going to be brown.”

When Hannah went on her first play date without out me, this is what she said to me on the drive over: “I do not want you to stay mommy. I need private time with my boyfriend but I promise you no smooching!”

“I’m the boss of the Barbie Dream house. I’m the boss”

Hannah: “How did you get me?”
Me: “What do you mean?”
Hannah: “How did you get me when I was a baby?”
Me: “We made you with love.” (Marcus laughs at my feeble attempt to avoid this discussion)
Hannah: “Well you need to get me another baby.”
Me: “The baby factory is closed.”
Hannah: “You got me at a factory?!?!”

Me: “I bought you a book that we can read when I get home.”

Hannah: “Oh come on”

Me: “‘Oh come on’ what?”

Hannah: “I want a TOY”
