“Lexie, I love you even if you’re stinky”
Bedtime with Hannah
Me: Hannah, it’s time to go to bed.
Hannah: Don’t talk to me
Me: Hannah…
Her: I told you not to talk to me. You can only talk to me in the morning or if you read me a book. Make a choice
Me: Read a book
Hannah: You can read me a book but not right now. I’m busy.

Hannah and her besties
Didn’t expect that
Hannah likes to play a game where she asks us who we love, so we can tell her basically name her and everyone in her life. We do this at least once a day.
Hannah: “Who do you love the mostest?”
Me: “You! And who do you love the most?”
Hannah: “Myself!”
Big girl bed!
She’s still creeping into our bed, but at least she’s starting the night in her bed.
Parent-Teacher conference
Today was Hannah’s preK-4 parent teacher conference. To the surprise of no one, Hannah is performing at a level more common for 5 year olds. She can count to 20 for her teachers (she counts to 30 and higher for us), she knows both her lower and upper case letters, and she’s great at recognizing words that start with a given letter.
Her teachers say she is very confident and good in the classroom. When her friends are upset, she tries to comfort them and calm them. She’s a good helper and really her weakest area is cleaning up. To anyone who has seen the state of our living room, this is no surprise.
She also loves to talk about her sister Kaitlynn who lives in Colorado, and her sister Melanie who lives in an apartment. She’s also shared with her teachers that our roof leaked and ruined her bedroom. She’s a little chatty!
The teacher is going to recommend moving Hannah to PreK-5 earlier than the summer so they can keep her engaged and growing. Right now, she’s just so far ahead of the curriculum that she’s getting bored. Some of her friends have already been promoted based on birthdate, so this would probably be an easy transition for her.
